“On Golden Pond” coming in March to Sandwich

Sandwich, IL., January 22, 2018 — The Golden Globe winning love story of Ethel and Norman Thayer, “On Golden Pond,” will be presented by Indian Valley Theatre (IVT) March 2nd through March 4th and again March 9th through 11th. Tickets are now on sale!

Directed by Matthew Johnson, written by Ernest Thompson, and rights by Dramatist Play Service, Inc., IVT’s “On Golden Pond” will feature Autumn Burns from Geneva, IL. Autumn is excited to make her debut with IVT on the Sandwich Opera House stage as Ethel Thayer.

Burns’ previous roles have included Libby Ruth Ames (“Always A Bridesmaid”), Lydia Lawson (“Things My Mother Taught Me”), Mrs. Cratchit (“Scrooge”) and her favorite role to date as the grieving widow turned philanthropist Annie Clarke (“Calendar Girls”).  When not rehearsing and performing in local community theaters, Burns can be found teaching knitting and crochet classes at Wool & Company in St. Charles, practicing her photography skills anywhere outdoors, and keeping up with her cross-fit classes.  She thanks her family (John, Liam, Aidan and Anna) for their continued patience and encouragement as she indulges her passions.

Come meet Autumn Burns and all the other cast members of “On Golden Pond,” when it is performed over two weekends: Friday, March 2 at 7:30 pm, Saturday, March 3 at 7:30 pm and Sunday, March 4 at 2:00 pm, plus Friday, March 9 at 7:30 pm, Saturday, March 10 at 7:30 pm, and Sunday, March 11 at 2:00 pm. All performances will take place at the Historic Sandwich Opera House, 140 E Railroad St. in Sandwich, IL. Tickets are $15 each in advance and can be purchased online at  www.indianvalleytheatre.com or $18 at the door one hour before curtain.
