Indian Valley Theatre announces the cast for their next production, “The Unsinkable Molly Brown” directed by Kathie Hart. Performances will be Friday, July 14 at 7:30 pm, Saturday, July 15 at 7:30 pm and Sunday, July 16 at 2:00 pm at the historic Sandwich Opera House, 140 East Railroad in Sandwich. The cast consists of Jen Ketchum of Sandwich as Molly Brown, Brad Shortridge of Genoa as Johnny “Leadville” Brown and the ensemble who play multiple roles: Jacob Rover of Millington; Sue Burich of Morris; Kacey Carnithan and Johanna Crawford of Yorkville; Sharon Pagoria, Jay Ketchum, Nolan Ketchum and Michele Wade of Sandwich; Emily Redmond, Matt Johnson, Darren Whaley and Linda Whaley of Newark; Janice Sodoma of DeKalb; Riley Shortridge of Genoa; Greg Peterson of Earlville; and Zoe Michaels and Ryan Lugo of Plano.

Miners, brawls, pretty girls, love, romance, maritime disasters, and Meredith Willson’s music and lyrics – “The Unsinkable Molly Brown” is the rags to riches love story of Molly and Leadville Johnny Brown, owners of the richest mine in the U.S. at the turn of the 20th century. A comedic yet honest commentary on the classes and the human spirit of the Colorado settlers, this grand musical is a tour de force with rousing and sentimental songs and dances reminiscent of the times. This spirited tale of a legendary, real-life American original follows the exploits of Molly Brown, whose feisty determination to rise above her impoverished beginnings leads her from the backwoods of Hannibal, Missouri, to the palaces of Europe. Along the way, she marries a lucky prospector, enters the highest echelons of Monte Carlo society, survives the sinking of the Titanic and, most importantly, earns the approval she so desperately seeks of those “Beautiful People of Denver.” Funny, light, uplifting and uniquely American, “The Unsinkable Molly Brown” charmed Broadway and film audiences with its irresistible, outrageous title role, in the tradition of such unforgettable characters as Auntie Mame, Dolly Levi and Mama Rose, as well as Meredith Willson’s rousing score, in the tradition of his immortal “Music Man.”

Tickets are $18 and can be purchased online @ or at the Box Office @ the Opera House up until 30 minutes before Showtime if seats are available. A brand new SEASON 4 show ticket package is also NOW available for the first time.
